The Columbian's 38th Annual Economic Forecast Breakfast, presented by Riverview Bank, is the premier regional forecast for Southwest Washington business and civic leaders.
The breakfast will offer an opportunity for networking with peers and decision makers prior to an engaging interactive discussion with industry leaders.
This year's theme is the impact of artificial intelligence on our local, national and global economy. How do we prepare businesses and workforces? How will this create new challenges and opportunities for the way we work and live in Southwest Washington?
Doors open at 7 a.m. at The Hilton Vancouver Convention Center for a deluxe buffet breakfast.
At 8 a.m., the program begins with keynote speaker David Adkins, senior engineering manager in Generative AI at Meta AI. Adkins will share his insights and predictions about the role of AI in our lives.
A panel of local experts including Dave Barcos, director of business development at Formos and founder of North Bank Innovations, and Krystal Daibes Higgins, CFA, vice president of Equity Research at Ferguson Wellman will join Adkins for a deeper exploration of AI and an audience Q&A with Associate Editor Will Campbell. Regional economist Scott Bailey will conclude the event with a summary of economic indicators for Southwest Washington.
